PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP INSTRUCTOR

While he now has over 17 years of coaching experience, Coach Kyle knows first hand what it’s like to be that extremely unfit person, insecure and embarrassed to walk into a gym. A former collegiate athlete, at the age of 25 he had high cholesterol, was significantly overweight, and the most deconditioned he had ever been in his life. As a dad of two young boys with a family history of high blood pressure and heart disease, he realized he needed to make major life changes or there was a very real possibility he would not get to see his children grow up. He began running, changed his diet, added weight training and did home based workouts. While he began seeing changes to his health and fitness level, he recognized there was still something missing that made it difficult to stay motivated. Soon after, he discovered a CrossFit gym near his workplace and quickly recognized the missing piece he was looking for, a community. He knew there had to be other people out there like him who wanted to work out, but didn’t want to do it alone, so he got his Level 1 certification, cleaned out his 600 square foot garage, and opened the first CrossFit gym in the area of his Midwestern hometown. 

Coach Kyle’s philosophy is to meet each person exactly where they are on their fitness journey and to help them not only reach their health and wellness goals, but to also make sure they enjoy the process, including the work outs (Yes, I’m talking to you!).
